Don't praise me, bro!
Are Some Negro preachers leading their flocks down the wrong path?

THE BLONDE HAIRED BLUE EYED SAVIOR: Though no one seems to believe that these depictions of a White Christ are accurate, the color of Yeshua (a.k.a. Jesus) has been argued for as long as any of us can remember. The only reference to his appearance is made in Revelation 1:14-15 - 14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.

"Christianity is a wonderful idea. It's a shame that it's never been tried." Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi a.k.a. (Mahatma)

True story - I'd received a tip from a reliable source on April Fools Eve, 2009. I was told that the preachers of the "Black Clergy Coalition" would be hosting a "secret meeting" with St. Louis' racist Mayor Francis G. Slay at a local soul food restaurant. That was one week prior to the 2009 mayoral election that Slay won with 22,920 votes. His challenger, Missouri State Senator Maida Coleman, garnered 12,954 votes even though she only had 1/10 of what Slay had in campaign finance.

It's still never been disclosed why the Negro preachers met with the racist a week before the elections, but there they were. We can only draw our own conclusions about what kind of deals that these traitorous Negroes might have been cutting for themselves.

Slay arrived and was greeted by Luther Boykin (who we assume was the point person and coordinator of the rendezvous). Next, Reverend C. Jessel Strong pulled up in front of the diner with his red Mercedes coup (these Negro preachers and their "chariots" make me laugh). Then the Black Clergy Coalition president, Reverend E.G. Shields, Sr., of Mount Beulah Missionary Baptist Church strolled onto the scene. Finally, there was Reverend Earl Nance, Jr. of Greater Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, arriving just ahead of Slay's ace flunkey, Jeff Rainford.
Shortly after their meeting got underway, into the diner comes Anthony Shahid, who, among other things, called the preachers "whores for cutting deals with Slay." (It's all on video {http://rivercityexaminer.com/clergy.html} STILL some of the best and most comical "reality T.V." of all time.)

This scenario disturbed me deeply then, and still does. These so-called "leaders" are charged with the duty of leading their members to Christ. I still can't figure out how the path to Christ runs through the office of a court documented racist mayor Francis G. Slay.
Even more disturbing is that these misguided minstrels are not even the tip of the iceberg. There are countless Negro preachers showing us daily that they have no clue of the "path of the righteous."

Consider Reverend Eddie Long (New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Dekalb County, GA), who claimed to be able to "cure the ills of homosexuality." He is accused of having sexual relations with a number of young male members of his congregation. If the things that his accusers allege are true (and there is no reason to doubt the accusations since there have been settlements and no proof to the contrary), then Long is among the greatest of hypocritical Christian ministers to ever be exposed. But, that "greatness" lies mostly in the fact that his deceit garnered national attention. Many go undiscovered.

Think of the many Negro preachers who shepherd their flocks towards the ideal of a White, blonde-haired, blue-eyed Jesus. Some of those same charlatans live a life of what they believe is the height of luxury, even as scores of their parishioners live in poverty.

Religious, "leaders" with gold teeth, driving Benz(s), and Escalades with gold grills and Vogue tires, to show every body how well they are making it "In the glory of Christ." That part of the scripture seems to escape me as I read of Christ, the "revolutionary," and Christ the "poor righteous teacher."

While I must admit that I personally am a spiritual being who does not subscribe to religion, I am an avid reader and studier as I implore all people to be. I read all scriptures and philosophies and I want to encourage all others to do the same. Even if it is only the scriptures that pertain to whatever faith you subscribe to - READ IT! Don't let the preacher tell you what it says. Know the truth yourself and then apply it to what you see in your minister, your community and your life. It will be a hell of an awakening for you, I promise... 5%r
