REGISTER TO VOTE AND THEN - VOTE - VOTE - VOTE - VOTE
How do you get the attention of your elected officials and the people who want to be elected? How can you help President Barack Obama get legislation through to help people in need? How can we get the Big Corporations of America to stop making ever increasing record profits annually, through exploiting the workers and the consumers? For example the Big Oil Companies like British Petroleum are making the most profits ever made in history on this planet earth during former President George Bush eight (8) years in office. Politicians pay attention to one major thing. They want to keep their JOBS. Therefore people who VOTE is of prime importance to them. If you notice, many of the politicians don't have jobs in the private sector even when they retire, term limited out or defeated. Many end up back in the political arena as lobbyists, etc. Many politicians just don't have the training or marketable skills to even hold a real JOB in the private sector. As elected officials, I see them as Hustlers and they are pimping us, the people and using our hard earned tax dollars to take care the interest of the RICH and not us the people.
You CAN complain all day long about whatever you want to complain about. But one the best solution is to get REGISTERED TO VOTE, EDUCATE YOURSELF TO THE ISSUES AND VOTE for those who serve your BEST INTERESTS. Where do you register to VOTE? At your local Division of Motor Vehicles Registration, (where you get your driver's license). Take the initiative to seek out other places in your communities where you can register to VOTE. Think about this. It doesn't cost anything to register to vote. It doesn't cost anything to vote. But if you don't vote, you lose a very great deal. You lose your Voice/Assistance from the elected official(s). The elected officials respect people who care enough to get out and VOTE.
Look at the Hispanics. Both John McCain and Barrack Obama, candidates for President in 2008, went after the Hispanic vote. They knew if enough Hispanics voted in blocks, and that it definitely would make a difference in the outcome for either candidate. The Hispanics voted heavily for Obama. How were they rewarded? President Obama nominated a Hispanic to the U.S. Supreme Court. This is good for the Hispanics. This is political power gained with the VOTE.
Those who voted for Obama must now come out and VOTE in this most important election coming up in November, 2010. Either President Obama will be able to keep his majority (Democrats) in the Senate and House of Representatives and continue to help people in need or the Republicans will again control the government. If President Obama doesn't maintain the majority control of both houses, this isn't going to be very good for the people who need help. President Obama was able to get the much needed Health Plan passed, because he had the VOTES. If you don't VOTE and the Republicans get control again. The big banks, corporations and big businesses will do the same as they did under the eight (8) years of the Bush Administration. Remember, small businesses, small community banks, people in the minority and those most in need were left out.
How do many of the politicians get elected and re-elected over and over again? Big businesses have a lot of money and they hire people to be lobbyists. Remember many lobbyists use to be elected officials. What do lobbyists do? They're suppose to present to the elected officials reasons and facts to convince them to vote on legislation for whom they are lobbying for. In most instances, big businesses lobbyists have a lot of money from the big businesses they represent. What do the lobbyists do with all of this money? Basically they use the money to "BUY" the VOTES of your elected officials. How do they do that? They use the money to buy lots of television ads. They also use the money to print campaign literature, pay people to canvass in the communities, hire people to work at the polls on election day, etc. Of course there are the dinners with the wining and dining and some say money under the table to elected officials. This is very hard to prove unless there is a wire tap, hidden camera, etc.
It is time for us as the people to understand that we have the power of the VOTE to take back our government as the writers of our Constitution intended. It's perfectly legal and it doesn't cost us one penny. It's simple. Register to VOTE. Know the ISSUES and VOTE - VOTE - VOTE - VOTE . ENCOURAGE EVERY ONE YOU KNOW TO DO THE SAME. IF THIS DOESN'T WORK WE HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE DRWAWING BOARD. WE ARE GUARANTEED THAT IT WON'T WORK IF WE AS A PEOPLE DON'T GET UP TO THE PLATE AND SWING.
