"So-Called Community Leaders" Go On A Junket To Isreal
What do our "so-called community leaders" engage in to build bridges with other groups in this region? How well do these "so-called community leaders" inform us when these bridge building activities take place? Where do these "so-called community leaders" travel in order to construct and strengthen these relations? When do these "so-called community leaders" communicate their travel, meetings, and ongoing forums with our community so that we can all participate and benefit from these activities? Why do these "so-called community leaders" seem to act in secret and take free international junkets to the detriment of our own community, ostensibly taking from another group and giving nothing in exchange?
These questions were posed to me by one of my friends from the Jewish community. I am sad to tell you I did not have any idea as to where he was coming from or going with this line of questioning. You see, he reads the newspapers from many of St Louis' distinct cultural communities. He wants to know the facts and separate the fiction so that he can help bring people from disparate groups together in common concern for the good of our region.
My friend brought me an article from "The Saint Louis Jewish Light." This is primary news paper for the St Louis Jewish community. The article appeared on June 17, 2010. The title is "Local African American Leaders Travel to Israel." He was struck by the fact that there was never any mention in any of the St Louis African American newspapers either prior to or subsequent of the trip. This greatly disturbed my friend and when I thought about it well it disturbed me, also.
You must understand that seventeen (17) of our "so - called community leaders" were taken on an all expenses paid trip to Israel purportedly to strengthen our cross community ties to the St Louis Jewish community. Among the seventeen delegates were: Rev. Earl Nance, Jr., Rev. Emory Washington, James Buford, Bill Young and Rev. E.G. Shields. These "so-called community leaders" held an open forum at the Urban League offices in Mid Town St Louis. Can you imagine that most of the attendees were from the Jewish Community? Why? Simply that we, our community, was not informed of this junket or given any notice or opportunity to participate. This is the bane of our community, we are kept out of the process and then we are left out of the process and wonder why we feel marginalized.
I think that these seventeen (17) need to come forth, stand up and declare to us what they learned from our Jewish brothers and sisters. These seventeen (17) need to explain why they did not write any articles for our community newspapers. These seventeen (17) need to declare the purpose of accepting this all expense paid junket and how it will help us strengthen our ties to the St Louis Jewish community and further our common goals.
Also, of these seventeen (17) "so-called community leaders": who made you the leader and the rest of us followers? How do you sleep knowing that your actions deceived one community and kept another outside the process that you supposedly endeavored to further? Speak up, I cannot hear you. Many of you write columns for our own community newspapers, where are your articles on this, speak up I cannot hear you. Many of you are in the spotlight of the mainstream media, why do we not know about this? Speak up I cannot hear you.

RED LIGHT ( DISTRICTS / LADIES OF THE EVENING ) CAMERAS

Missouri State Senator, Jim Lembke (left) R - South St.Louis County, Rev. Eugene Fowler, VP of The North Side Community Benefit Alliance and National Board member of The Congress For Racial Equality and "Brother Bob" are seen at THE FREEDOM FIGHTS 2010 ON JUNE 27, AT THE ST. CHARLES CONVENTION CENTER discussing Senator Lembke's recent bill, SB637 to outlaw red-light cameras throughout Missouri. The Senate voted 23-8 to tack Lembke's ban onto a broad transportation bill. Lembke said," Momentum is in his favor after the state Supreme court recently ruled against the way Sprinfield enforces tickets generated from its red-light cameras."
In many cities throughout the world, they had/have RED LIGHT DISTRICTS, (RLD'S). The RLD'S are where LADIES OF THE EVENING ( WHORES, PROSTITUTES AND THEIR PIMPS) get's your monies for services rendered.
Is there any differents with St.L Mayor Slay and our elected officials who continue to support the RL CAMERAS? I've been trying for two (2) months to get how much money(s) the City of St.L received in 2009 and so for in 2010 from the RLC's. In next month issue of The River City Examiner I will give you the latest up date on the above, as well as the various city agencies I've called and what they told me. So for, basically, they all referred me to one city agency to another. Several agencies said they have the figures of monies received but the dollars aren't broken out in individaul catregories but in one lump sum of all the city traffic violations. I find this rather hard to believe. Finally, I talked with Mayor Slay personal secretary last month. She said she will look into the matter and get back in contact with me. As of press time, I've not heard back from her.
